About the Event

Our adaptation of The Hunchback of Notre Dame brings Victor Hugo’s powerful tale to the stage through the language of ballet—offering a moving exploration of love, judgment, isolation, and the resilience of the human spirit. Set in the shadow of the great cathedral of Notre Dame, the story follows Quasimodo, the bell-ringer whose physical difference has left him shunned by society but whose soul is filled with longing, loyalty, and grace. When he crosses paths with the free-spirited Esmeralda, the two form a bond that challenges the cruelty of the world around them. Caught between the rigid morality of Archdeacon Frollo and the indifferent crowd, their lives unfold in a swirl of passion, tragedy, and fleeting hope.

This production combines sweeping ensemble scenes, dramatic pas de deux, and intimate solo moments to draw out the emotional depth of each character. The cathedral itself becomes a living presence—its bells, arches, and shadows woven into the movement and atmosphere of the ballet. Themes of justice, mercy, beauty, and belonging resonate through every scene, offering audiences a story as timely as it is timeless. With original choreography and evocative design, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a theatrical experience that asks what it means to truly see—and to be seen.
