On the International Day of Music, enjoy two outstanding acts inside one of Oregon’s favorite music houses.
At 7 pm, Syco Billy’s String Band takes the stage for one solid hour of the best French-influenced newgrass/folk music. Following a brief intermission when audience members can choose their favorite food or beverage items inside world-class hunger-satisfiers, McMenamins, Arietta Ward (aka Mz. Etta) brings funk soul music that makes her Portland’s favored Funk Diva, along with a dynamic three-piece band.
The Old Church might very well be the prettiest of all the 56 McMenamins locations. It was sincerely built by descendants of Daniel Boone, and it is located beside an ancient footway for Native America. It’s also one of the nicest sounding venues in town. Guests are surrounded by wood and unbelievable stained glass windows, with McMenamins top-line food and beverages close at hand for purchase.
