JOEL LANDY

Joel Landy has been an activist his entire adult life, organizing and promoting events for social justice and environmental issues. From corporate media and class warfare to climate chaos and the NRA, Joel delivers intelligent songs with wit and humor in a style that reminds many of a young Phil Ochs. His music has been published in “Sing Out!” magazine and heard on Pacifica Radio stations. He also produces the award-winning television program, “Songs of Freedom.”

BEV GRANT

Inspired by the socially conscious songs of the 1960s, Bev Grant uses music as a means to express her position on longstanding social dynamics and societal issues. Her songs tackle themes of social justice, feminism, and workers' rights, reflecting her commitment to using her art as a tool for change. As Bev's career gained momentum in NYC, other likeminded artists who also sang of the triumphs and struggles of everyday people joined with Bev. These music groups include The Human Condition, Bev Grant and the Dissident Daughters, The Miller Sisters, Wool&Grant, and most notably, the Brooklyn Women's Chorus. Her inspirational work has earned her the 2017 ASCAP Foundation's Jay Gorney award and the Labor Heritage Foundation's Joe Hill award.

DILSON HERNANDEZ

Dilson is a Dominican-American performing artist from the Bronx. His talents include creative writing, playing various instruments, spoken-word poetry, singing, and digital production. In 2019, Dilson was named the Resident Artist for the open mike series Inspired Word, and made his Off-Broadway debut at the Triad Theatre, where he performed his one-man show “Bachatú.” Dilson has composed for a variety of Off-Broadway productions such as Guadaliís del Carmen's “Bees and Honey” (MCC Theatre) and Julissa Calderón's “Vámonos!” (Intar Theatre). Dilson wishes to change the world with his art and community work, striving for a more progressive and creative future. Toward that end he has taught English in Haiti, built dorm spaces for underprivileged children in rural India, and led music workshops and advocated at courtrooms for incarcerated youth in New York City, via Youth Justice Network. Dilson is currently an employee at Carnegie Hall's Social Impact Programs where he helps curate artistic programming for justice-involved youth via the Future Music Project.

THE REPRESSIONS

The Repressions are a theatrical NYC indie rock duo featuring Barbara Dragon and Nate Lay. Their songs jump genres with tongue-twisting literary lyrics, guitars, synth, and two powerful voices full of melodic harmony. The Repressions' songs have folk punk activist messages mixed with fairy tale dreams. Their style has been described as "forest-music," "ethereal indie rock" (“BORO Magazine,” March 2018) and "music to feel your feelings to." The Repressions celebrated their 11th Anniversary in 2026, having played over 500 shows in the United States, and released an album and sixteen singles. They play lively shows every month all over New York City, and livestream twice a week on Twitch, incorporating prizes, colorful costumes, and original artwork into their performance. The Repressions dedicate their music to anyone who has ever been ridiculed for being sensitive, kind, smart, or ill.

PVC does not require wearing a mask, but we keep a supply of masks on hand for anyone who wants one.
We sell snacks and beverages.
We limit in-person attendance to 85, we use three HEPA filters in the Assembly Hall, we often offer live streaming, and we recommend (but not require) vaccination and/or testing.

After on-line sales for in-person tickets have ended, tickets will still be available at the door.
