Too Loose Cajun/Zydeco Band
If you’ve never heard French Louisiana-style dance hall music, you’re in
for a real treat. And if you have, welcome back y’all!
For more than twenty years, the Portland-based Too Loose
Cajun/Zydeco Band has been playing their infectious brand of dance
music from Southwestern Louisiana — at festivals large and small,
parties, street fairs, and weddings throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Take a great electric band, add two fiddles, an accordion, and a
traditional rub-board, and you have an irresistible sound: happy,
exciting, and exceptionally rhythmic. You won’t be able to sit still,
guaranteed.
Their repertoire includes Cajun, Zydeco, and New Orleans-influenced
music, with male and female vocals (and harmonies), and lyrics sung in
English and Cajun French. For you dancers, there are two-steps, a few
waltzes, and a surprise or two.
So come on down (and bring your dancin' shoes).
