About the Event

She Returns Form War

Hailing from the historically rich city of Charleston, South Carolina, americana music artist Hunter Park is defining what it means to not only live in the modern south, but to be a trans woman and artist within this landscape. Combining folk-infused vocal melodies and evocative lyrics that capture the unfiltered human experience, She Returns From War is taking her seat in the Americana music world with grace, strength, and passion. In 2023, the project shows no signs of slowing down. From opening for Bernie Sanders at his presidential rally in Charleston, to performing at national festivals like Stagecoach and High Water Festival and with artists such as , , and , She Returns From War is sharing with the world what the modern south should look and feel like: inclusive, compassionate, unfiltered, and loving. Nov 10 - Ruthless will be released.

Maddie Medley

Maddie Medley is a poetic powerhouse whose music blends indie folk, alternative rock, and evocative lyricism into something deeply personal and hauntingly resonant. Her writing evokes the raw emotionality of Fiona Apple and the delicate mystery of Mazzy Star, paired with a voice that is as commanding as it is cathartic. Originally from Nashville and now based in Denver, Maddie first broke onto the scene in 2020 with her debut EP Coming of Age, Pt. 1 via Elektra Records, produced by the Grammy-winning Dave Cobb. She has since toured alongside artists like Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Brent Cobb, and Adia Victoria, building a reputation for intimate, soul-baring performances that leave a mark. Now fully independent and signed as a writer with Kobalt Music, Maddie’s recent releases reflect a creative resurgence and deepened self-possession. Her 2024 self-release “Jesus Moment” marked her first independent release, followed by the searing and cinematic single “Fawn’s Rage,” co-produced by Medley. She recently landed a cut on Anderson East’s album with the track “Fool Myself,” released in May 2025. Maddie is currently at work on her next body of music and continues to carve a lane all her own—raw, spiritual, literary, and unafraid.

Big Guy & The Very Large Men

Big Guy & The Very Large Men is fronted by Nashville songwriting veteran James Droll who has carved out a reputation as one of Nashville’s most distinct queer voices. Big Guy represents a newfound creative outlet for James highlighted by amplified expression and having the audacity to say the quiet part out loud. As a songwriter, his pen has been behind tracks now streamed well over 180 million times including Vintage Culture’s breakout song “Pour Over” (80M+), gavn’s “Hit the Dirt”, and Joy Oladokun’s collaborative anthem “We’re All Gonna Die” featuring Noah Kahan.

Spotify Glow launched a series in Nashville in January of 2026 featuring 4 queer Nashville artists and songwriters of which James was selected alongside Joy Oladokun, Medium Build, and Shane Stevens. Even though James shines in the studio, his storytelling is best experienced live. He has opened for artists such as 21 Pilots, Noah Kahan, Elohim, Greyson Chance, and Paper Route.

Big Guy & The Very Large Men gives James the platform to express the beauty, the danger, and the mess that comes with living an openly queer lifestyle in the epicenter of the bible belt. Having grown up in Pleasantville, Ohio on a llama farm and his family being deeply rooted in the evangelical church, it has been a journey to get to a place where Big Guy could even exist.
