Metropolitan Fashion Week proudly announces its highly anticipated 16th Annual Celebration, taking place on Saturday, April 24, 2027, 7:00 PM at the prestigious National Nordic Museum, located in Seattle's historic Ballard neighborhood. 2655 NW Market St, Seattle, WA 98107.

Celebrating 16 years of extraordinary fashion, creativity, and cultural expression, Metropolitan Fashion Week will bring together international fashion designers, artists, models, and fashion enthusiasts for an unforgettable evening where fashion meets art, history, and imagination.

WHERE FASHION BECOMES ART This year’s spectacular theme, CAPE EXTRAVAGANZA, challenges fashion designers from around the world to create one breathtaking Fashion Masterpiece inspired by the grandeur, elegance, and cultural significance of legendary capes throughout history. Celebrating the rich heritage and artistic traditions of Nordic culture, each original creation will showcase exceptional craftsmanship, innovation, and artistic expression. Inspired by the architectural beauty and cultural significance of the National Nordic Museum, designers are encouraged to explore the enchanting world of Nordic mythology, Scandinavian traditions, royal elegance, dramatic silhouettes, and contemporary couture. This extraordinary celebration will transform the runway into a living gallery of Fashion Masterpieces, where history, culture, imagination, and modern design come together in a spectacular expression of wearable art.

SPECIAL GUEST DESIGNER FROM SWEDEN Adding an exciting international dimension to the celebration, special guest fashion and costume designer Marika Soderlund of Kicka Custom Design will present a collection of breathtaking fashion masterpieces. Her participation will celebrate the artistic connection between fashion, costume design, and Nordic heritage, bringing a distinctive Scandinavian perspective to this extraordinary runway presentation.
