Are you an experienced songwriter looking to deepen your songwriting practice in community? In this interactive workshop, we will dive into generative writing exercises, learn from songs that light us up, listen deeply and give/receive feedback, and dig in to what makes a song work. How do songs make us feel? How can we build our songs so they deliver a story with maximum impact? We will play with form, chord progressions and substitutions, and look for ways to incorporate dynamics and variation into our songs. We'll be looking at your existing songs/ideas as well as creating new ones, and you can count on weekly writing prompts to spark new ideas!
This class is limited to 12 participants. For more info, please reach out to Beth directly at beth@sffpresents.org.
Suggested Registration Fee: $180*; minimum fee $60. Full scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis; please email info@sffpresents.org for more information.

For example, if you pay $200, $20 of that amount will be counted as a donation and will support SFF Presents' Pay What You Can programs.
