Remnose:
"Remnose is a four-piece indie folk/rock band out of Detroit, MI. Formed originally as a singer-songwriter project by Marlon Morton, the songs of Remnose take inspiration from spending time outside and connecting with the natural world. Marlon is joined by his brother Carson, pedal-steel player Sam Sparling and bassist Alex Wildner to bring forth tunes built around blood-harmonies, swells of steel guitar, and strong vocal melodies."
Charlie Millard Band:
"From Michigan’s northern lower peninsula, the Charlie Millard Band has developed a unique sound, voice and thought-provoking lyrics/poetry of their own. Performing at festivals and venues across the Midwest and Canada, percussionist Will Harris, Jercat Millard on guitars, and Charlie on the keys/organ/Rhodes bass, strive to give you a musical experience, like small movies for the ears."
Virginia Violet:
"Spawned in the spirit of Detroit 1966, Virginia Violet debuted in 2016 with the debut EP "Meet Virginia Violet & the Rays," which was bursting with nods to the greats of the past like Motown and soul artists. These days, the band has simplified their approach with a smaller and more intimate five-piece band, but don't be fooled. With massive vocal harmonies, slide guitar, and honky-tonk piano, the sound is bigger than ever."
Jeff Jablonski:
"One of the founding members of the local Detroit band Black Shampoo, Jeff's music has a feel that is entirely unique and thrives in the intimate setting. His songs are delivered with surprising complexity for having been performed with just one voice and an acoustic guitar. Chilling vocal melodies and imaginative lyrics highlight the aesthetic of one of our local music scene's hidden gems."
