Raleigh Camerata's Ensemble Absolut presents: Friends of Beethoven, an afternoon of amazing and delightful works for chamber orchestra. Come hear the US premier of Anton Reicha's Grande Symphonie de Salon No. 3 and the rarely heard on period instruments Schubert Octet in F major! This afternoon concert will feature mid-size chamber music that brings a full symphonic experience.

Both Reicha and Schubert held Beethoven in high esteem and were friends during their careers. Schubert event requested to hear one of Beethoven's string quartets on his death bed. All three were composers way ahead of their time.
