Take the RIGHTS Path: A World AIDS Day Event

Take the Rights Path: My Story, My Health, My Rights!

Join us as we honor stories, champion health equity rights, and uphold human rights. Through effective policymaking, commitment to innovation, and strong collaboration, we can Rethink. Rebuild. Rise. Together.

Come learn, reflect, and stand together as we commemorate World AIDS Day with an engaging panel discussion on the Fourth Floor Gallery of the Decatur Library. The Gallery will also feature panels from the AIDS Memorial Quilt, on display from December 5, 2025, through January 10, 2026. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Featured panelists:

Season Barnette-Williams and Justice Puryear (Positive Impact Health Center)
Masonia Traylor (HIV Activist)
Ashley Wilson and Phyllis Malone (Sisterlove)

A note about the theme: Take the Rights Path: My Story, My Health, My Rights focuses on ensuring everyone has the right to healthcare and addressing inequalities that hinder progress in ending the HIV epidemic.

This event is sponsored by Decatur Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Delta Life Development Center, Inc.

*Gallery Hours for the exhibition are Fridays and Saturdays, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. during the dates listed.
