About the Event

Join us for an evening with world renowned Steinway Artist Julian Gargiulo, in his much-anticipated debut at The Old Church in Portland.

-Commonly referred to as the “Pianist with the Hair” because of his distinctive look, Julian is an internationally recognized classical pianist, composer, and humorist who performs all over the world, -in prestigious venues from New York’s Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House - and has been featured on Radio and TV stations across North America, Europe, and Asia, and most recently on BBC Radio 3 in London. His compositions have become viral internet sensations, amassing over 8 million streams on Amazon Music. His first recording for Deutsche Grammophon with violinist María Dueñas was released to wide acclaim last year.

"He's the only classical musician I know who could truly be regarded as a rock star as well." (The Courier Mail)

"Expect to revise any preconceived notions you have about classical music concerts." (Huffington Post)

Makes Howard Stern look almost tame” (The New York Times)

Julian invites his audience to abandon all preconceived notions about classical concerts and captivates crowds with both technical precision and personable wit.
