David Wax Museum
Pioneering folk musicians David Wax and Suz Slezak are the plucky husband-wife duo behind the eclectic, exuberant, “Mexo-Americana” band David Wax Museum. The band’s genre-defying, shapeshifting personality is on full display with everything from downtempo, nuanced songs to the boisterous and bombastic, making it obvious how a band with this kind of breadth has comfortably shared the stage with acts as diverse as The Avett Brothers, Latin legends Los Lobos and Buena Vista Social Club, and indie darlings Gregory Alan Isakov and Mandolin Orange. First reaching national acclaim with a show-stopping debut at the Newport Folk Festival, David Wax Museum has built a reputation around energetic, heartfelt live shows and sonically adventurous albums that fly the worldly flag for a brand of Americana that reaches far beyond our borders.
Their newest release You Must Change Your Life refracts the light of a band whose vibrancy has been globally recognized by the highest tier of tastemakers. Throughout You Must Change Your Life, Wax and Slezak convey how a single response to the heart’s cry—returning a stolen glance, ripping off a bandage, stepping out in faith—can make our world over. Pain and peace attend every shift. After all, Changing your life ain’t like changing clothes, Wax sings on “Your Heart’s a Pinata.” The band has held tightly to this truth, attending to Wax’s ongoing health journey and reshaping their career with intention. The album boldly testifies: Your life will change with deliberation, but also in the mere act of living.

Deau Eyes
Deau Eyes is Ali Thibodeau: Richmond, VA born and raised singer songwriter. Ever since Thibodeau left high school early in her junior year, she has been working to support herself and her art. Lifelong dreams of a career in performance brought her to NYC, Florida, Idaho, and Virginia to work in theaters, theme parks, studios, classrooms, festivals, and cruise ships. It has only been in recent years that she has listened to her original inner voice and began to translate her experiences into her own music. Her debut album Let It Leave (5/8/2020, Egghunt Records) was recorded in Nashville, TN with longtime friends and co-producers Jacob Blizard and Collin Pastore, whose credits include Lucy Dacus and illuminati hotties, among others. The songs celebrate the joys and complications of a liminal life—balancing freedom and stability, falling in and out of love, and trusting yourself through the noise of other people’s expectations. Her live shows can be loud and punky or subdued and sweet, varying from song to song. It is clear that she puts her theater experience to good use; however, playing as Deau Eyes, Thibodeau is far from acting. When the floor is hers, she is disarmingly earnest.
