Gallatin Canyon
Despite the Montana namesake, Gallatin Canyon makes their home in Charlottesville, Virginia, where the band was founded in 2011. True to their Virginia roots, the band is known for traditional bluegrass music with a unique and modern sensibility. Nodding to the bluegrass past with a traditional spin, Gallatin is also known for rebooting tunes from both the classic country and classic rock genres. From Flatt & Scruggs and Bill Monroe, to Johnny Cash and the Grateful Dead, at any given show, you can expect to hear a vibrant, eclectic blend crossing multiple musical genres.
Mike Burris & Emily Morrison
Mike and Emily are a husband-and-wife duo who share a deep love for making music together. Blending folk, rock, blues, and bluegrass influences, their sound reflects their individual talents and their strong musical connection. Mike enjoys writing and composing in his free time, while also teaching and running sound at The Front Porch. Emily, the founder of The Front Porch, remains involved as a dedicated volunteer. Together, they bring warmth, passion, and a genuine love of community to every performance.
