This show is a part of the Rivanna Roots Concert Series, presented by The Front Porch and Rivanna River Company. Doors open at 5 pm and music is from 6-9 pm. Bob Marley Tribute ft Koolant Brown

Koolant Brown is a talented reggae artist and former lead singer of the iconic Wailers Band, hails from the scenic parish of St. Thomas, Jamaica. A man of peace with an unwavering commitment to spreading positivity, Koolant’s soulful voice and uplifting messages have made him a celebrated figure in reggae music. During his tenure with The Wailers, Koolant had the honor of touring the globe alongside the legendary Aston “Family Man” Barrett, the renowned bassist and co-founder of the band. Together, they carried forward the timeless legacy of Bob Marley and The Wailers, delivering electrifying performances that celebrated love, unity, and resilience. 

Known for his powerful single “Race,” Koolant Brown continues to inspire fans with music that transcends boundaries and connects people from all walks of life. Deeply rooted in his Jamaican heritage, he uses his art as a vehicle for change, staying true to the authentic spirit of reggae.Whether performing on international stages or engaging with local communities, Koolant remains a proud ambassador of the music and message that have defined generations, leaving a lasting impact wherever his journey takes him.

Jamal Millner spent 20 years as a professional guitarist, producer and composer touring North America, Africa, Australia and Europe. He has performed with Taj Mahal, Vusi Mahlasela, Ali Farka Toure’, Dave Matthews Band, Corey Harris, John Jackson, Nicholas Payton, and countless others on stage and in the studio. Jamal has performed at the Montreaux Jazz Festival, Chicago Blues Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Bonnaroo, Byron Bay Blues Festival, San Francisco Jazz Festival, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. He'll be supported by an allstar rhythm section, featuring Brian Gregory on Bass and Stuart Gunter on Drums.
