For just one chilling hour, walk the haunted grounds surrounding the historic station, where more ghostly encounters have been reported than anywhere else in Staunton. Listen closely as we bring to life spine-tingling tales drawn from real events and eyewitness accounts.

Along your journey, you’ll meet the lingering spirit of Myrtle Knox, forever tied to the tragic train wreck of 1890. Discover the dark past of the American Hotel, once a Civil War hospital, and hear the haunting stories of DC McLewery and William Meade McMechen, two souls said to still walk the tracks.

This tour also serves as a moving remembrance of Miss Myrtle Knox, who lost her life during the fateful crash that occurred the last weekend of April, 1890.

Tour begins at the corner of Johnson and New Streets, beside the City Parking Garage across from Mill Street Grill. Free parking is available in the New Street garage and along nearby streets. Please arrive 15–20 minutes early to check in.
