About the Event

For the 10th season, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild tours the American West. Mountain tops, old-growth forests, and sunny meadows replace the traditional concert hall in the series featuring pianist Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano. Listen through wireless headphones and wander afield with the music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild.

On the eastern slopes of Oregon’s Cascade Mountains along the winding Deschutes River sits a small community that was Oregon’s first International DarkSky Place. Hunter grew up here in Sunriver and for our 10th anniversary we return for one of our two IN A LANDSCAPE Dark Skies concerts. In partnership with Sunriver Resort, we will gather under starry skies near Sunriver Stables for a unique experience on these high desert lands, the ancestral home of the Wana Łama (Warm Springs), Wasq'ú (Wasco), and Northern Paiute people, today known as The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.

Sunriver Resort is offering both pre-concert dinners at the Lodge and an overnight package to create an unforgettable celebration.
