Information about DASH to the Rescue:
Hello! We are DASH, a new rescue organization with goals of saving lives and raising awareness. All of our current members have over 10 years of experience each and all look forward to helping homeless animals and our communities. Being huge animal lovers, we are not limited to just dogs either! If we have the know-how and space, we will try to assist with any creature great or small. Come join us!
DASH to the Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on issues related to homeless animals, adoption, care, and human interaction including the promotion of "adopt don't shop," spay and neuter, and rehabilitation.
Incorporated in 2022, DASH's mission is to find safe and loving forever homes for dogs (and other animals) who have been abused, neglected, or unwanted. With shelters at or over capacity throughout our region, our experienced and dedicated group of volunteers are committed to:
* Collaborating with other rescues to help ensure that the dog that would be left behind at a kill shelter
won't be.
* Offering rehoming options before pets are abandoned at kill shelters.
* Providing necessary medical and behavioral interventions for dogs we rescue.
* Contributing to efforts to address dog overpopulation by ensuring that dogs we rescue are
spayed/neutered.
* Providing educational resources to communities with chronic overpopulation issues.
* Mentoring the next generation of volunteers who will be committed and skilled at improving outcomes
for dogs (and other animals) who have been abused, neglected, or unwanted.

About Concert for the Animals...A POP MUSIC SONGBOOK was created in 2018 by one of the volunteers at Gray Face Acres, a senior dog rescue in Haymarket, VA, who thought it would be a unique fundraising opportunity for the charity. A second Concert for the Animals was performed in 2019 to benefit Middleburg Humane Foundation. In response to many expressions of interest, the Concert is being brought back again in 2024. Both previous concerts raised over $10,000 each. The charity for this year's event is DASH to the Rescue. This year's incredible talent features the popular DC area band Uncle Drew and the Scoundrels and DC Singer Songwriter and Hopkins Peabody Conservatory alumni, Julien Xuereb will be featured in an opening performance.
The concert has been blessed by the enormously talented performers who have previously graced its stage including Liza Oliver, Laura Mills, Aaron Talley, Martin Gallegos, Jake Null, Bayla Whitten, Katie McManus and The Manassas Chorale Ensemble. Former Fox 5 DC weekend anchor Will Thomas generously donated his time to serve as MC both years. Country Chevrolet and Paws Awhile Pet Motel were especially generous sponsors of those events.
