As prospectors stake their claims, families take root, and industry transforms the landscape, Lead becomes more than a mining town—it becomes a reflection of the American spirit.

Through moments of conflict, hope, loss, and reinvention—from labor disputes and suffrage movements to war, epidemic, and eventual closure—the people of Lead are continually asked the same question: Who are we when the thing that defined us is gone?
