10th Anniversary Screening of DESERT DREAMS

See DESERT DREAMS: Celebrating Five Seasons in the Sonoran Desert on the big screen at CPAC in Green Valley.
Tues. October 11, 2022 ––two showings–– 4:30pm and 7:00pm. Open Seating.
Half of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection.

DESERT DREAMS has been a popular pledge drive program on national public television for the past 7 years! This film offers a unique look at the beauty and biodiversity of the Sonoran Desert, showcasing 182 species of plants and animals in a seasonal chronology. Without narration, the supporting soundtrack combines natural sounds with a kaleidoscope of world flute and percussion vignettes by composer Gary Stroutsos. HD video and time-lapse imagery captured over four years blend seamlessly with stills from the filmmakers archive compiled over three decades.

Filmmaker Thomas Wiewandt and Editor John Hadwin will be attending to answer questions. This event has been made possible through the generosity of Green Valley resident Bruce Halliday, aka “Doc Halliday,” and Chris Ashcraft, Executive Director of CPAC.
