DESERT DREAMS has been a popular pledge drive program on national public television for the past 7 years! This film offers a unique look at the beauty and biodiversity of the Sonoran Desert, showcasing 182 species of plants and animals in a seasonal chronology. Without narration, the supporting soundtrack combines natural sounds with a kaleidoscope of world flute and percussion vignettes by composer Gary Stroutsos. HD video and time-lapse imagery captured over four years blend seamlessly with stills from the filmmakers archive compiled over three decades.

Filmmaker Thomas Wiewandt and Editor John Hadwin will be attending to answer questions. This event has been made possible through the generosity of Green Valley resident Bruce Halliday, aka “Doc Halliday,” and Chris Ashcraft, Executive Director of CPAC.
