Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series presents David LaMotte with Don Sarlin
David LaMotte is an award-winning songwriter who has performed over 3000 concerts and released thirteen CDs, while touring fifty states and five continents. The Boston Globe writes he “pushes the envelope with challenging lyrics and unusual tunings,” while BBC Radio Belfast lauds his “charm, stories, humour, insightful songs, sweet voice and dazzling guitar ability.”
LaMotte has been featured at Kerrville Folk Festival, Doc and Merle Watson Festival, the National Folk Festival of Australia, and the Auckland Folk Festival in New Zealand.
Don Sarlin is one amazing fingerstyle guitarist, a true professional with chops and a heart that pours out through the strings. He’s toured with Van Morrison, David Bromberg, Mary Travers, Dean Friedman and so many more. Wearying of the road, he embarked on a successful business career, returning to performing in the 2000’s and co-founding The TriSonics, an acoustic trio featuring guitar, Dobro and bass, with three albums of original instrumentals to date. His solo performances present delightful original songs and exquisite guitar instrumentals.
