The Rhododendron Court Coronation is one of the most anticipated community events of the year a “don’t miss” celebration that kicks off the Rhododendron Festival season. Held the Saturday before Rhody Weekend, this fast-paced event, showcases the incredible young leaders of our community. Five Elementary School Junior Princesses and ten High School Senior Princes and Princesses, have spent months preparing for this special night. The evening is filled with fashion, talent, personality, and unforgettable moments as the court takes the stage for modeling, talent presentations, impromptu questions, and more. The night builds up to the most exciting moment of all the crowning of King of the Coast and Queen Rhododendra. We will continue the new tradition of presenting the Rhody Roots Award, recognizing a community member whose dedication and service have helped shape the lasting legacy of the Rhody Court and Pageant.
