Ocie Davis presents the Future of Jazz Series. We continue the 2025 series with an evening of Contemporary Jazz featuring Pianist Jarod Kashkin performing live Thursday, February 20th, Jam Shak at Rozzelles Ferry Landing, 2821 Rozzelles Ferry Landing, Charlotte NC.

From an early age, pianist Jarod Kashkin has been enmeshed in the New York music and jazz world. He began playing at the age of four, attended the Manhattan School of Music Prep and is a graduate of The New School’s Jazz and Contemporary Music Program.

Jarod has had the honor of performing and recording with jazz luminaries such as Reggie Workman, Billy Harper, Charlie Persip, Jason Marsalis, Eric Person, David Veslocki, Richie Barshay, Ike Sturm and others, and, appeared regularly at NYC’s Fat Cat in both solo performances and with post-bop/modern jazz quintet The Program of Deprogramming.

Jarod’s second solo piano record, Elements, was released in October, 2022. On March 2, 2023, Ethereal Patterns will be released via the Sounds by Sapphire record label.
