Experience Led Zeppelin All Over Again!
Based out of North Carolina, Led Head delivers the spirit and soul of the one and only Led Zeppelin. No fancy costumes, no fake imitations - just the real, raw, rock & roll music that Zeppelin has captivated us with for all these years!
It all started about 15 years ago when John (J.D.) Davis (lead singer) and Jay Denny (drummer) fused their creativity to start paying tribute to Led Zeppelin. Jay and J.D. reached out to a friend to find the best example of Jimmy Page they could find which took a long time but the wait was worth it when they found Joe Dehart. Once Joe was in the band, they had to find the true musician that could handle John Paul Jones, which is not easy since John Paul Jones played the bass, keyboards and the mandolin. Thankfully, they found George Westberry who defines the truest form of what John Paul Jones did for Led Zeppelin.
Led Head has continued to amaze audiences everywhere. About 13 years ago, Led Head actually earned over 1.6 million hits on myspace. After touring the East Coast, the band took a long break to work on other musical projects. Fast forward 9 to 10 years later to 2021 and the band is back in action again ready to blow people away with how close they sound like the real Led Zeppelin!
Led Head is:
John (J.D.) Davis (Lead Vocal, Guitarist) - J.D.’s vocals never cease to amaze and electrify audiences by imitating Robert Plant’s amazing vocal range. JD is a true front man that enjoys entertaining audiences and making sure they have fun and rock out to Zeppelin! JD also plays rhythm guitar to add the thickness of the Zeppelin sound that we all know on vinyl.
Joe Dehart (Lead Guitarist Acoustic and all Electric Guitars) - Since Joe was a young kid, he always wanted to be Jimmy Page. Audiences will love to watch Joe perform, even down to using the violin bow on his guitar and jamming with his Gibson Double neck guitar just like Jimmy Page!
George Westberry (Bass, Keyboards, Mandolin, Back-up Vocals) – George has toured across the US in major concerts and knows exactly what to do to entertain audiences. He has the candid ability to play bass, keyboards and mandolin mimicking John Paul Jones of Zeppelin. George will also add backup vocals for a complete Led Head sound.
Jay Denny (Drums, Percussion) - Jay is the timekeeper and backbone of this powerful quartet. His style and drum accents utilize every part of his drum kit while pinning listeners’ ears to the wall with earth shaking power and solid grooves common to that of John Bonham.
J.D. commented “Our mission has never changed – It’s all about creating that Zeppelin vibe, nailing the musical landscapes of Zeppelin and making sure that people have a great time at our shows! Our shows will be a true Led Zeppelin musical experience!”
