Cville Stories is a vibrant personal storytelling event where you will have an opportunity to share your story and to hear the amazing stories from our selected storytellers.

This new show is produced by Barbara Fornoff. Barbara has told stories with Better Said Than Done, Story District, and here in Charlottesville with The Big Blue Door. Our show is in the style of The Moth, and our stories are true personal stories, told along a theme, with time limits (6-10 minutes), no notes and no props.

Pitch us your story to be considered for our February or future shows. The upcoming show is on February 23, 2025, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Batesville Market, in Batesville, VA. The February theme is: Whole Lotta Love — true love, crazy love, tainted love, or the love that got away. Come early to grab a beer, wine, cider, sandwich or soup before the stories begin.
