Silverstage Theatre Company is proud to present Jean-Paul Sartre’s No Exit, adapted from the French by Paul Bowles. This immersive theatre experience will open on August 8, 2025, at the historic Starline Factory, bringing Sartre’s kinetic dialogue and striking concepts to life in a new, intimate context.
Set entirely in a dark, eerie freight elevator, with audiences peering in through the imaginary fourth wall, No Exit tells the story of three souls trapped in a mysterious space together, locked for eternity with only their thoughts, their wits, their two fellow companions, and of course, their Valet, a fourth character mysteriously inviting them into the space. Who is the true torturer? Come find out in this darkly humorous and absurdist take on relationships, cowardice, fear, and longing.
Content warning: While all ages are welcome, some intense thematic material covering topics of violence, death and the afterlife may be mature for younger audiences. Parental discretion advised.
Directed by Jake Heelein, the production features a tight-knit cast of local talent, including Brian Fleming, Gianah Tomczak, Courtney Knight, and Jake Seelye. No Exit will run every Friday from August 8th through August 29th, with performances scheduled at 7 pm. Cash bar available.
