Steve Poltz
Steve will make you laugh, cry, sing, blush, dance and rejoice. And that’s just in the first song. Armed with his voice, guitar and a supernova fueled electrifying wit, Steve is the one of the single greatest entertainers rocking the free world today. If you’ve experienced a Poltz-formance, then you’ve been LIFTED. In 20 years since his full-length solo debut, One Left Shoe, Steve Poltz blessed the world’s ears with thirteen solo records, spanning the acclaimed 2010 Dreamhouse and most recently, Shine On in 2019. NPR summed it up best, “Critics and fans alike now regard Poltz as a talented and prolific songwriter.” Evoking themes of “hope, love, contemplation, celebration of Wednesday, pharmacists, and the fact that windows are not inanimate objects and they sometimes have conversations with each other,” Shine On represents Steve at his most inspired and insightful. He rocked the Joshua Tree Music Festival in 2018 & ’19, and was scheduled to again in 2020. It’s a HUGE honor to have Steve be the first artist back on the JTMF stage for the outdoor concert series!
