About the Event
Tyler Nail is a dynamic Americana performer known for masterfully crafted lyrics, impressive guitar technique, and a haunting voice. His music, informed by the rich history of American roots, tells stories that evoke strong emotions, often bringing audiences to tears or laughter within a single song. Nail's compositions blend complex musicianship with the familiar sounds of Americana. His lyrics create vivid images of life, nature, and the passage of time. Raised in a log cabin his grandfather built in Winston-Salem, NC, Nail discovered his passion for music early in life. After years of honing his craft in various bands and local venues, he released his first independently produced LP, Winter To Winter (2012). This album marked the beginning of his rise in the Americana scene, solidified by his involvement in the Winston-Salem arts community and his growing momentum as a performer. After multiple independent releases, Nail's music took a significant turn with the release of Life Lessons (2019), a double album praised for its exploration of life, love, and modernity. Though his return to live performance was halted by the pandemic, Nail continued to create, leading to his latest single, Way to Live (2024), which he considers his single most important work.

Tyler Nail has re-emerged as a rising force in Americana. His music, described as "warm, humble, and honest" by Alftitude, stands out for its honest storytelling and deeply personal lyrics. Ear To The Ground Music said of Nail, "Tyler Nail is an accomplished singer-songwriter with a well-rounded Americana flavor... His writing is comfortable and unpretentious, just like Americana ought to be."With over 250 songs in his catalog, Nail's performances are filled with original stories and songs that capture the essence of life's struggles and victories
