About the Event

This course is Community CPR AED - Infant, Child and Adult certification and is open to ages 11+ and adults. This course offers an official certification card from the American Safety & Health Institute.

 

Please read ALL the information below before registering:



This is a BLENDED LEARNING COURSE (online course + classroom session.) The online video teaching component for CPR AED takes a minimum of 2 hours and is comprised of 28 lessons. Within 24 hours of registering, your individual online course link will be emailed to you and MUST be completed prior to the in-person class date.

Recognizing an emergency
Legal considerations
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Using an AED
Multiple provider approach to CPR
Choking

 

Add-on option: At check-out, you may choose to add Basic First Aid to your CPR AED course for an additonal $30.  In this case, your online course is LONGER, comprised of 58 lessons instead of 28 lessons.  Your in-person course will be 30 minutes longer, as well.  First Aid covers accidents and injuries, such as bleeding control, heat and cold emergencies, bites and stings, wound care, poisoning emergencies and more. Do not select the First Aid option unless you can commit to doing the extra online lessons - 58, total.

 

After registering:
Within 24 hours (not automatic), registrant will receive an email from info@hsi.com/HSI Platform with the link to the online course, to be completed prior to the class. Watch for Subject Line: Link to Online Community CPR AED course.

 

After completion of the online course plus in-class participation, student will be issued the certification card from the American Safety and Health Institute, valid for 2 years. It will come in PDF format via email and may be printed and cut for wallet size, if desired. There will also be instructions on the PDF for downloading the student handbook.

 


Refund policy:
The base price fee of the course is refundable under the terms below.  The registration fees are non-refundable.

13-8 days before the start event, 80% refund. 
From 4-7 days before the event, 75% refund. 
From 2-3 days before the event, 50% refund. 
Day before and no-shows, non-refundable.

Those taking the Basic First Aid will stay approximately 30 minutes longer than those only taking CPR AED.
