Join us for an intimate concert from SFF Presents featuring Gadan on Wednesday, February 11th.

The concert will be held at The Belfry, located at 302 E Main Ave. in Sisters. Doors open at 6:30 p.m and the show starts at 7 p.m. This is a general admission, all ages show. Beverages will be available for purchase, no outside food or beverages permitted in the venue.

Gadan: A Transatlantic Blend of Roots Music

Gadan is an electrifying new band that expertly blends the drive of Irish traditional music and bluegrass with the heart and soul of Appalachian and folk music, all spiced with an Italian flair.

This fresh project was launched by seasoned Italian musicians with years of experience in the European folk, rock, and Irish trad scenes. They have performed at major traditional and alternative music festivals across both Europe and the US. Originally featuring four Italian members, the band quickly established a reputation for bringing exceptional skill and passion to both Irish traditional music and old-time American styles — a truly distinctive and remarkable combination.

In 2024, Gadan expanded to a five-member band with the addition of Enda Scahill, a tenor banjo master, award-winner, All-Ireland champion, and founder of the renowned group We Banjo 3. This collaboration immediately took the band to the next level, resulting in performances at all major Irish festivals across the US in August 2024. This exciting partnership is set to continue into the future.

Their high-energy repertoire has a powerful live appeal, characterized by a unique identity and sound. Featuring three banjos (tenor and clawhammer), fiddle, mandolin, and guitar, Gadan creates a distinctive strings-only sound driven by a powerful rhythmic pulse.

In 2025, the lineup was completed with the addition of Eric Long, a clawhammer banjoist and singer-songwriter. Originally from the mountainous heart of Pennsylvania—a region deeply rooted in Appalachian tradition—Eric now brings his raw, authentic American folk soul to the group's transatlantic sound. His presence further expands their dynamic and diverse musical identity. Gadan’s performances build intense momentum, sweeping the audience into a state of ecstasy with their refreshing yet deeply rooted traditional sound.
