About the Event

Join us for a screening of Our School, Our Fight: Saving Eva Thomas High, a new documentary. In an era of social unrest, students of the all-Black Eva Thomas High School challenged the idea that change required a loss of community. Their story comes to life through raw news footage and first-person accounts of students who endured the complex era of desegregation in this compelling, 34-minute film. The screening will be followed by a talkback featuring the filmmaker and alumni of Eva L. Thomas High School. This event will take place in the Decatur Library Auditorium. Registration requested, not required.
