The Georgia State University Jazz Area is proud to present a Kenny Dorham Tribute Concert, honoring the late McKinley Howard "Kenny" Dorham. Kenny Dorham was one of the most underrated trumpeters in jazz history, a talented bop-oriented player and an excellent composer who played in some very significant bands and penned the timeless jazz standard “Blue Bossa.”

The concert will feature performances by trumpet players from around the city- Gordon Vernick, Joe Gransden, Michael Cruse, Greg McLean, Terence Harper, Justin Powell and Philip Harper.
