Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series presents The Black Feathers with The Maledictorians
The Black Feathers, Ray Hughes and Sian Chandler, write songs that are both modern and ancient — a weaving of traditional influences with the warp and weft of fresh creations that are totally mesmerizing and beautiful. Americana, Folk, and Acoustic Indie Rock sensibilities coexist comfortably in their riveting musical world. Their tight harmonies are exquisite, and their acoustic presence has the power and force to drive a sledgehammer.
They have performed at Philadelphia Folk Festival and AmericanaFest, and have also been awarded official showcases at the North East Regional and Far-West Folk Alliance conferences.
The Maledictorians are a husband and wife acoustic duo from Little Falls, New Jersey. Their cover songs and originals walk on the “dimmer side of the street,” full of dynamics and haunting harmonies. Their influences include Radiohead, Death Cab For Cutie, and Over the Rhine, but their creative arrangements reimagine the songs with a darker intent than their authors. You are invited into the melancholy world of the Maledictorians.
