Raquel Vidal is a singer-songwriter whose songs have been described as "darkly cinematic...voicing a bittersweet optimism" by New York Music Daily. Her lyrics explore the dark corridors of the human experience, ultimately revealing the light, wit and wisdom seeping through. Confessional guitar and piano ballads and swampy rhythmic guitar stomps are equally at home in her sets, both solo and with Diamond Hotel, her band. One of the co-founders of Writing A Song That Matters with Dar Williams songwriting retreats, she runs songwriting workshops there several times a year and loves the thriving songwriting community that continues to grow after over a decade. She is currently in the studio putting finishing touches on a solo EP full of pandemic-infused wisdom and is wrapping a full length Diamond Hotel album, "Imagining the Sun".
