The Folk Project Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series presents Liz Chidester with The FLukes
The Folk Project first met Liz Chidester at last year’s NJ Uke Fest, when her gorgeous voice and passionate performance blew us away. We’re thrilled to have her back at the Troubadour for a welcomed encore and last-minute substitution in our weekly concert calendar. Her music awards include NPR’s NewSong Songwriting Contest 2014 – Midwestern Finalist, Chicago Music Awards 2015 – Best Female Vocalist, NewSong Leaf Songwriter Competition 2016 – Finalist, Independent Music Awards 2018 – Best Roots EP. Her song “the great american chestnut tree” was featured on NPR’S All Songs Considered in 2020.
What could be more fun than a uke? Three ukes! Make that three FLukes. Beth Bachmann, Bob Kammer, and Kevin Coughlin wring maximum joy from that minimal instrument. The FLukes capitalize the “F” and the “L” – you can fill in the blanks. They promise to keep their G strings attached. Beyond that, all bets are off.
