Lady Limbo is a Grateful Dead tribute band that has been flowing through the scene since 2019. We bring the classic sound of the Grateful Dead, merging folk rock and Americana with deep space and psychedelic grooves. Lady Limbo plays music from all eras of the Dead’s career. Fronted by Tim Harmon on Lead guitar and vocals, Sean Malone on rhythm guitar, Andy Rodgers on bass, John Merritt on keys, and for this show, Travis Jenkins on drums.

Robert Ray grew up in northern Virginia and Raleigh, NC, splitting time between his parents homes. Robert has been playing music in local bands in the DC metro area since 1998 as a bassist, rhythm guitar player and singer. Robert sang and played bass for the alternative rock band Luther from 1998 - 2000. Ray next served as singer and guitar player for jamband fourway between 2000 and 2002, eventually moving on to form his own project Robert Ray band focusing exclusively on original music crossing genres of rock, jam and Neo-blues. Robert Ray Band was signed to District Entertainment Records in 2002, and released their debut album Here Comes Trouble in 2004. After a 15-year absence from the local music scene spent raising his children, Robert Ray returned as bass player with Cats at Play featuring Steven Ward in 2021. Robert joined Manassas favorites Strange Choir as bass player and singer in the vocal-featured, 3 and 4-part harmony rock band. In 2022 Robert moved over to guitar and lead vocals for The Blue Bottleneck Band who focused on slide guitar and acoustic Blues, Americana and Classic Rock. In 2024 Robert struck off on his own with a mission to play with as many people as possible and find the right folks to make a new project. This led to playing with over 20 different local bands and 50+ musicians including some of the biggest names in the local Grateful Dead tribute and jam band communities in the DMV. Robert Ray & Friends has evolved into a semi-rotating, stacked cast of amazing musicians led by Robert through originals, Americana, Blues, Rock, Funk and the Dead.
