*VENUE CHANGE* 
Banff Centre has moved this concert indoors to Rolston Recital Hall due to weather concerns. The new setting allows for TWO Steinway pianos and will feature guest artist Thomas Lauderdale of Pink Martini performing with Hunter!

Set within the Canadian Rockies, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity is an international arts and learning institution that brings together artists across disciplines. The Centre has long supported experimentation at the intersection of performance, place, and audience.

IN A LANDSCAPE returns to Banff following an early connection to the project’s origins: founder and pianist Hunter Noack participated in a “Concert as Theatre” residency at the Banff Centre in 2010, an experience that helped inform the development of the series. This concert marks IN A LANDSCAPE’s second appearance at the Centre in Banff, Alberta.

Additional performance: On Saturday night, Hunter will also appear with Portland-based band Pink Martini in the Jenny Belzberg Theatre at the Banff Centre. Led by Thomas Lauderdale, Pink Martini has deep roots in Portland, where IN A LANDSCAPE is based.

PARKING AND WAYFINDING: The Parkade is conveniently located on the lower levels of the Music and Sound Building – follow signs for “Parking” and “Music Building” to find your way to the hall.

TICKETS:  No physical tickets are issued for the concert. Simply check in with the name used when purchasing your ticket, just like a dinner reservation.

PROGRAM:  The concert lasts about 90 minutes and the program will be announced from the stage by Hunter. Special guest Thomas Lauderdale of Pink Martini will join Hunter on a second piano.

CHAIRS & BLANKETS:  In the spirit of our traditional outdoor concerts, Hunter will invite the audience at times to lie under the piano. If you’d like to bring a blanket to lie on, please do! Audience seating and chairs will be provided in the hall.

FOOD & DRINK:  The house bar will be open before the show. No outside beverages allowed. No food will be available for purchase on site, nor is outside food allowed in the hall. Maclab Bistro will be open before and after the show for meals.    

DOGS:  Not allowed at Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity.
