For the 11th season, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild tours the American West. Mountain tops, old-growth forests, and sunny meadows replace the traditional concert hall in the series featuring pianist Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano. Listen through wireless headphones and wander afield with the music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild.
This is 1 of 2 IN A LANDSCAPE concerts at Silver Falls State Park. Click for Tuesday, August, 25.
About this Landscape
Spanning more than 9,000 acres, Silver Falls State Park is Oregon’s largest state park, featuring ten named waterfalls—four of which can be walked behind—along with canyon trails and the remains of Silver Falls City, a former logging community. Several structures in the Historic District were built by the Works Progress Administration and continue to define the character of the area.
The concert takes place in a clearing within the Historic District, set among tall forest trees and within walking distance along a paved trail to the iconic South Falls.
This concert takes place on the unceded ancestral homeland of the Molalla and Kalapuya peoples, now represented by the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz.
