For the 11th season, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild tours the American West. Mountain tops, old-growth forests, and sunny meadows replace the traditional concert hall in the series featuring pianist Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano. Listen through wireless headphones and wander afield with the music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild.
About this Landscape
The Sea Ranch community in Northern California was developed in the early 1960s by architect Al Boeke, shaped by a vision of architecture that responds to land, wind, and sea. Set along the Sonoma Coast, the landscape is defined by wind-shaped cypress, weathered wood structures, and open meadows that overlook the Pacific.
The IN A LANDSCAPE concert takes place on the coastal bluff near the historic barn, where listeners gather above the ocean with wide views of sea and sky.
For the full Sea Ranch experience, consider extending your stay in the Lodge’s guest accommodations or in a private home nearby. Lodging reservations can be made through The Sea Ranch Lodge.
This concert is presented in partnership with The Sea Ranch Lodge.
Food & Dining
Our concert coincides with Locals Night at the Lodge, a monthly farm-to-table dinner tradition at Sea Ranch. Dinner reservations are booked separately and typically sell out in advance. A taco cart near the concert site and the Lodge’s Bar and Lounge will be open during the performance.
