For the 11th season, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild tours the American West. Mountain tops, old-growth forests, and sunny meadows replace the traditional concert hall in the series featuring pianist Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano. Listen through wireless headphones and wander afield with the music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild.
This is 1 of 3 IN A LANDSCAPE concerts at Black Butte Ranch. Click for Tuesday, June 16, or Wednesday, June 17.
About this Landscape
Set against the Cascade Mountains in Central Oregon, Black Butte Ranch spans more than 1,800 acres of open meadows, pine forest, and mountain views. Founded in 1970 at the base of the extinct Black Butte volcano, the ranch was designed as a community centered on landscape, outdoor life, and shared gathering—an approach that continues to shape the experience today.
This three-night IN A LANDSCAPE mini-series takes place on the ranch’s open lawns beneath wide skies and surrounding peaks.
Many listeners choose to extend their visit by staying on property. Black Butte Ranch offers a range of lodging options along with on-site food and beverage service throughout the weekend, including pre-ordered picnic-style options, buffet dining, and limited seated dining experiences adjacent to the concert site.
