Basin PBS invites you to Tortilla Traditions: Hands-On Cooking with Jon Hinojosa, a flavorful and interactive culinary event happening Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Odessa College’s Wrangler Kitchen. This engaging workshop offers participants the opportunity to make fresh tortillas and savory fillings from scratch—guided by none other than Jon Hinojosa, runner-up from PBS’s hit cooking competition The Great American Recipe.

• Class Times: 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 4:00 PM*
• Duration: Each class runs 1 hour and 20 minutes

• Capacity: 20 participants per session
In each hands-on session, Hinojosa—known for his heartfelt approach to cooking and storytelling—will guide attendees through making tortillas and fillings using traditional techniques with modern flair. It’s the perfect class for food lovers eager to explore West Texas flavors and heritage.
*Bonus Feature: The 4:00 PM class will be filmed for later broadcast on Basin PBS, giving participants a behind-the-scenes experience of local television production and the chance to be featured on air.
