Davina Jackson is a soul, New Appalachian, bluegrass, folk and gospel singer with a killer voice. She used to sing back-up with the Wailers and toured with many other bands such as Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Cliff, and Burning Spear, to name a few. The Oversteppers are a reggae band from Central Virginia that is made up of talented musicians from different bands and genres in the Charlottesville area. They have played in and are members of; Guano Boys, Wild Common, The ‘77z, The Cows, Positive Collective, Sisters and Brothers and the Ragged Mountain String Band. They have headlined large venues as one of the area’s premier reggae bands, playing island and roots music. The Oversteppers are: Davina Jackson (lead vocals), Gabe Gavin (Bass), Chris Leva (Guitar, Vocals), Jim Gagnon (Percussion, didgeridoo, flutes), Robinson Hubbard (Drums, vocals) and Brandon Collins (keyboards). The band plays Reggae, Ska, and World music.
